+ Description
| MODECOM MC-421 is a router combined with wireless access point working in 802.11g network standard. It fulfils expectations of almost every home or small office users you need share the Internet connection with. MC-421 has been designed for those who get the connection to the Internet through Ethernet network (for example via external ADSL modem or cable TV modem). Aside of sharing internet connection, MC-421 takes care of the network security as well. It does so with the buil-in firewall, MAC address filtering and support for wireless encryption. In addition to that, it also supports WPS (Wireless Protected Setup) to make the configuration of PCs in the network that connect to MC-421 as easy as possible. One of the unique features of MC-421 is the additional button that allows to turn off the whole wireless network within a second. That feature might be useful if you want to limit the access to the network only for the stations using wired connection. MC-421 can be also used to build wired Ethernet network thanks to its built-in 4-port 10/100 Mbps Ethernet switching hub. Each of the ports supports automatic detection of type of the device connected to specific port. It does so thanks to Auto MDI-X support. Quick Installation Guide and CD is provided. On the CD EasySetup application is provided for Windows OS operated computers that allow to very quickly and easily setup all of the most important configuration parameters for the router to enjoy the shared internet connection in only a few minutes. EasySetup also shows how to physically connect the router to AC mains supply and network. To configure advanced parameters of the device a web browser should be used. Clear GUI of the setup webpage allows to configure all of the device's features. |
